Prep football: Liberty, Asotin undefeated in Northeast 2B

Garrett Rogers tossed three touchdown passes and Liberty cruised to a 53-6 win over visiting Reardan on Friday night.

Rogers went 8 of 10 for 169 yards and ran for a 43-yard first-quarter touchdown. Tyler Haas rushed 15 times for 112 yards while Josh Larsen-Nowland had two touchdown receptions – his only two catches in the game.

Liberty outgained Reardan (0-2) 411-159.

Liberty travels to Asotin next week in a matchup of 2-0 teams.

Asotin wins again: Blake Magnuson threw for three touchdown passes and the visiting Panthers defeated Colfax 48-16 in Oakesdale.

Magnuson connected with Braden Jagannath for touchdowns twice in the second quarter, then returned an interception for a score to build a 27-8 lead. Jake Dilling and Pate Earl rushed for third quarter TDs for the Panthers.

Colfax (1-1) plays at Wilbur-Creston next week.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague handles Wilbur-Creston: Mason Brausen scored on touchdown runs of 22 and 15 yards and the Broncos handled the visiting Wildcats 35-6.

Damien Rouleau added a 56-yard run and a fumble recovery for touchdowns LRS (1-1).

LRS travels to Northwest Christian next week. Wilbur-Creston (0-2) hosts Colfax.

Davenport tops Kettle Falls: The Grizzlies ran up a 20-0 halftime lead and held off the visiting Bulldogs 34-20.

Evan Johnson scored on touchdown runs of 8, 6, and 24 yards.

Davenport (2-0) hosts Reardan next week. Kettle Falls (0-2) hosts Springdale.

Northeast A

Chewelah shuts out Riverside: The Cougars caused six turnovers and their stifling defense shut out the visiting Rams 20-0.

Conner Krouss recovered a fumble in the end zone in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring.

Chewelah (2-0) plays host to Newport next week. Riverside (0-2) travels to Lakeside.

Nonleague

St. Maries rolls over Deer Park: Keifer Gibson threw seven touchdown passes and the Lumberjacks extended their record to 3-0 with a 46-0 win over the Stags.

Gibson found Patrick Asbury from 27 yards, then hit Jake Sieler for 57 yards in the first quarter to start the rout.

St. Maries travels to Priest River next week. Deer Park (1-1) hosts Colville.

Colville romps at West Valley: Hunter Wright had touchdown runs of 89 and 59 yards, passed for two more and the Eagles romped over the visiting Indians 45-18.

Cruz Bale added a 30-yard interception return for a score in the second half.

West Valley (2-0) takes on North Central next week while Colville (1-1) will travel to Deer Park.

Idaho

Jaden Dimitroff rushed 19 times for 335 yards and four touchdowns as visiting Wallace defeated Potlatch 66-22 in Whitepine League action.

Layton Gallagher also rushed nine times for 138 yards for the Miners (2-0), racking up 138 yards and three touchdowns. Wallace had 490 total rushing yards.

Wallace hosts Colton next week. Potlatch fell to 0-2.
