Auditions Sunday for Symphony’s “Nutcracker”

Auditions are Sunday for the Spokane Symphony’s annual “Nutcracker” performances with the State Street Ballet.

Tryouts are scheduled by age and height:

1-1:30 p.m., girls 13 and older and 4-foot-10 to 5-foot-7, pointe shoes are required for this group;

1:30-3:30 p.m., boys and girls 10 and older, 4-foot-10 to 5-foot-7;

3:30-5 p.m., girls 8 to 11 and boys 8 to 12, 4 feet to 5-foot-2;

5-6:30 p.m., girls 7 to 11, 3-foot-6 to 4-foot-10.

Dancers should arrive 30 minutes prior to their audition time.

The auditions will be at the Gonzaga Theatre and Dance Studio Building, 1108 N. Pearl St. The $15 audition fee must be paid in cash. For dancers who are selected, there is a $75 performance fee.

Performances are Dec. 1-4 at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox, 1001 W. Sprague Ave.
