A Grammy award-winning singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums over three decades. 6. Mozart on a Summer’s Eve

“An Evening in Tuscany” features Bach Fesitval director and cellist Zuill Bailey performing P.I. Tchaikosvky’s Souvenir de Florence with guest artists Paul Rosenthal, violin, and Scott Rawls, viola, as well as members of the Spokane String Quartet. The program also features Metropolitan Opera soprano Danielle Talamantes performing Italian arias with the Connoisseur Concerts Wind Ensemble directed by Verne Windham. Tickets for table seating are sold out. Lawn tickets are still available, bring blankets and chairs, the area is open at 5:30 p.m. for picnics.

7. ‘Carousel’

The Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic features carefree carnival barker Billy Bigelow, who marries naive millworker Julie Jordan. When Billy loses his job and learns that Julie is pregnant, he resorts to desperate measures to get money with tragic consequences.
