Spokane Valley man severely burned while filling generator with gasoline
A Spokane Valley man was severely burned Tuesday evening while attempting to fill a generator with gasoline.
Spokane Valley firefighters were called to 18909 E. Marietta Ave. at about 10:30 p.m., where they found the man with burns to his arms and legs and his outdoor shed on fire, said Stan Cooke, battalion chief of the Spokane Valley Fire Department.
“I don’t know if it was still running, but it flashed and burned his arms and legs,” Cooke said.
The shed fire was quickly put out and the man was transported to a downtown Spokane hospital.
There were no other injuries, Cooke said.
