Post Falls woman admits to stealing money from the Coeur d’Alene Tribe

A Post Falls woman pleaded guilty this week to embezzling nearly $13,000 from the Coeur d’Alene Tribe.

Julianna Park, 53, pleaded guilty to theft from a tribal organization. She was indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2016.

Park had worked for the tribe since 2009 in its Natural Resources Department. She admitted to stealing 15 tribal checks by cashing them or depositing them in her own account after altering them, according to the Idaho U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Park faces up to five years in prison when she is sentenced in November.
