Man attacks guard, breaks door at Seattle TV station

Associated Press

SEATTLE – Police arrested a man who they say attacked a security guard and broke through a secured door at a Seattle TV station.

The Seattle Times reported that the 28-year-old man was arrested early Monday after the incident at Q-13 FOX studios.

Police spokesman Patrick Michaud said that just before 3 a.m., the security guard heard a loud bang at the front window of the TV station and went to investigate.

Michaud said the man kicked and struck the guard and then broke a door before walking away while another employee called 911.

The man was arrested across the street from the television station.

Michaud said he told officers he “wanted to meet a friend.” The guard didn’t have any reported injuries, he said.

The man was booked into jail on investigation of felony assault.
