Alivia Brown, Washington State women take third in golf tournament in Hawaii

Alivia Brown shot a 1-over 73 in the third and final round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational to finish third overall and lead Washington State to third place in the team event at the Keneohe Klipper coarse in Kailua, Hawaii on Wednesday.

Brown was 4-under 212 for the tourney.

WSU’s Madison Odiorne finished at 6-over 222 and tied for 26th.

Michelle Kim led Idaho golfers with a 3-over 219 finish, good for 19th place, followed closely by Amy Hasenoehrl – who had a hole in one in her second-round 3-under 69 – one shot back in a tie for 20th. Sophie Hausman shot 5-over 221 and tied for 26th.

Idaho was fourth in the team competition.

Texas A&M took the team title, besting second-place Oklahoma State by 15 shots. The Aggies’ Maddie Szeryk was low golfer at 9-under 207. Wake Forest’s Jennifer Kupcho was second at 211 and Anne-Charlotte Mora tied with Brown at 212.
