Coeur d’Alene Dollar Tree robbery linked to robberies across four states

An armed robbery Sunday in Coeur d’Alene has been tentatively linked to previous robberies in New York, Wisconsin and Michigan, according to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.
A man depicted in surveillance footage, which was obtained by authorities in New York, is being treated as a person of interest in the Sunday robbery, according to a news releases issued by the department.
In each incident, the man was armed and stole cash from a Dollar Tree close to closing time. A release from the North Greenbush Police Department in New York identifies the man as a white male in his 50s or 60s, approximately 5-feet-10, weighing around 200 pounds. He may be driving a gray Dodge Charger.
In the incident in Coeur d’Alene, the man approached two workers at the cash register at the Dollar Tree, 406 W. Neider Ave., about 8:55 p.m. and brandished a handgun, police said in a news release. He fled the store with cash.
