Inmate worker arrested a week after walking off the job

A Geiger Corrections Center inmate worker who walked away from his job site Nov. 1 was arrested Wednesday.

Gary C. Angell was arrested around 3 p.m. in the area of Fourth Avenue and Altamont Street, according to the Spokane Police Department.

Angell, 22, was planting trees in the area of North Elm Street and West Centennial Way before he left at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 1, according to Spokane police. Angell was in custody for violating a court order.

Angell is the second Geiger inmate to leave his work crew since September.
