PULLMAN – Three-star offensive guard Syr Riley, of Pacific Palisades High in California, has given a verbal commitment to the Cougars.

Riley, at 6-3, 323 pounds, should give Washington State some girth in the middle of the offensive line when he arrives on campus in the fall of 2018. He announced his decision on Twitter Monday evening.

A three-star prospect according to Scout and 247Sports, Riley had one other Pac-12 offer from Cal. A handful of FBS mid-majors were pursuing the Palisades High offensive lineman, including Colorado State, Hawaii, Navy, Idaho, New Mexico, Utah State and UNLV.

Riley was the Western League offensive lineman of the year in 2016.
