Area J.C. Penney stores to participate in retailer’s National Hiring Day

J.C. Penney is preparing for the holiday shopping rush with a National Hiring Day on Tuesdayat each of its locations.

Management will conduct in-person interviews 2-8 p.m., making employment offers to qualified candidates on the spot, according to a company news release. The retailer plans to fill 900 seasonal position in Washington and 40,000 nationally.

In the Spokane area, J.C. Penney stores are located at NorthTown Mall, Spokane Valley Mall and Silver Lake Mall in Coeur d’Alene.

All skill levels will be considered, according to the release. Individuals are encouraged to apply online at jcpcareers.com or in stores at an applicant kiosk prior to attending the event.
