Avista seeks to lower natural gas bills in Idaho

Avista is proposing to lower natural gas bills for Idaho customers by just over $1 per month.

The utility has suggested a $1.23 per month decrease for a typical residential customer, effective Nov. 1.

Natural gas prices are adjusted each fall to take fluctuations in wholesale prices into account. Avista’s request is pending before the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.

The proposal is separate from the Avista’s request to raise its base rate for gas service over the next two years.
