Lightweight packing class offered at Mountain Gear tonight

PACKING – Mountain Gear will host a “How to lightweight backpack” event Thursday.

Osprey Packs and Summit Sales NW are also hosting the event.

The event will cover how to plan out your backpacking gear list, picking and sizing the proper bag for your trip and packing tips and pack maintenance.

The event is free. Doors open at 7 and the presentation starts at 7:15 p.m. at Mountain Gear (2002 N. Division St.). Participants will receive a Osprey Ultralight stuff sack. A silent auction will benefit the Riverside State Park Foundation.
