Track and field roundup: Alaina Stone sets two meet records to lead Colville to first place finish

Priest River Invite: Alaina Stone of Colville broke two meet records with a 5:28.98 in the 1600m and an 11:38.49 in the 3200m, the latter of which had not been broken since 1992. Priest River boys placed first overall in team scoring with 156. Colville girls placed first overall in team scoring with 157.

Mooberry Relays: Mayyi Mahama from Pullman placed first in Shot Put with 41-00.00 and first in Discus with 136-07. Cilviya Jones from Lewis and Clark placed first in the 100 meter and contributed to a first place finish in the 4x100 Relay and the Lewis and Clark girls placed first overall with 111.

Mead boys took first place overall with a commanding 132 points with second place going to North Central with 52. Noah Vincent helped the Panthers to first place finishes in both the 1,600 meter relay and 3,200 meter relay.

Troy Invite: Jadyn Corder placed first in Shot Put with 33-10.50 and first in Discus with 117-03 to lead St. John-Endicott/Lacrosse’s girls to a fourth place finish. The boys team placed fifth and was led by Griffin Parrish’s first place finish in High Jump with 6-02.00 and Levi Bailey’s first place finish in Triple Jump with 37-04.50.

Anya Payne from Moscow placed first in the 100 meter event with 14.50 and the Moscow girls placed fifth in team scoring. Moscow’s girls also placed first in the 800 meter relay. Moscow’s boys finished fourth overall in team scoring.

Blue Devil Legends Invitational: Nate Burch of Coeur d’Alene set a meet record in the 110m high hurdles with a time of 14.63. Tyler Trengove of Post Falls placed first in the High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump to lead the Trojans. Central Valley boys took first overall in team scoring with 133.

Samara Nelson led Central Valley girls to a first place finish in team scoring, snagging first in Discus with 133-06 and Shot Put with 41-07.00.

Eason Invitational: Kathleen Horn from Gonzaga Prep placed first in the Javelin event with a score of 137-01 to lead the Bullpups to a 13th place finish in team scoring. Gonzaga Prep’s boys placed 18th overall. West Valley boys placed 40th and girls placed 44th.

Kootenai Invitational: Blaine Buckingham from Post Falls placed first in the 1,600 meter and 3,200 meter to lead Post Falls to a first place finish in boys’ team scoring with 134.5. Lora Allred placed first in the 200 meter and the Long Jump to lead Kellogg to a first place finish in girls’ team scoring with 119.

Quincy Invitational: Gavin Elder from Odessa placed first in the 100 meter with 11.33 to help lead the Odessa boys to an eighth place finish. Layne Smith placed first in the High Jump with 5-10.00 and the Wilbur-Creston boys placed 15th overall.

Rachel Schell from Lind-Ritzville placed first in the 100 meter with 13.28 and the Broncos finished seventh overall in the girls’ team scoring. Rose Melville from Lind-Ritzville also snagged a first place finish with a time of 12:00.65 in the 3200 meter.
