Weekend weather: Snow, rain expected throughout the region

Colder temperatures will accompany a mix of snow and rain late this week and into the weekend.

Snow is likely on Friday before 11 a.m. There is a chance of rain after noon, according to the National Weather Service. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent with a high of 43 degrees. Less than one inch of new snow is possible.

Friday night there is a chance of snow and rain before 11 p.m. Saturday morning will bring more snow starting after 5 a.m, with snow accumulation of less than an inch possible.

During the day more rain and snow is likely before 11 a.m., turning to rain with a high near 46 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent with new snow accumulation of less than an inch possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday night there is a chance of more rain before 11 p.m., possibly turning to snow after midnight.

On Sunday there is a 50 percent chance of snow with a high near 37 degrees.
