Somebody Needs You

The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents.

The list of requests is coordinated by the Volunteers of America in cooperation with recognized social service agencies in Spokane. If you have an item to donate, please contact the social service agency directly. Donors who can deliver items are especially appreciated. If someone you know needs help, contact a local social service agency provider.

A family in Airway Heights needs a living room couch. Contact Sarah Nkemontoh at West Boone EHS, (509) 279-6907.

A 62-year-old woman with a disability is homeless and in transitional housing. She needs a new pillow, Sea Bond denture wafers, a journal, snow boots size 7 1/2, umbrella, plastic storage drawers and art supplies. Contact Alyssa Smith at Frontier Behavioral Health, (509) 838-4128.

A single mother seeks items for her 2-year-old daughter such as a crib and mattress, baby safety gate, potty chair, toys and size 6 shoes. Contact Holly Martin at the Parent Child Assistance Program, (509) 979-2556.

The Spokesman-Review Newspaper

Local journalism is essential.

Give directly to The Spokesman-Review's Northwest Passages community forums series -- which helps to offset the costs of several reporter and editor positions at the newspaper -- by using the easy options below. Gifts processed in this system are not tax deductible, but are predominately used to help meet the local financial requirements needed to receive national matching-grant funds.
