Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation, SCRAPS plan Thursday pet supply drive
To coincide with her Friday concert at Spokane Arena, country singer Miranda Lambert has partnered with SCRAPS as part of her MuttNation Foundation, which works to save the lives of shelter animals.
Lambert encourages fans to support to a shelter in every city she visits on tour through “Fill the Red Wagon” donation drives. On Thursday, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., SCRAPS will accept donations of dog and cat food, cat litter, toys and beds for homeless and abandoned animals at the Red Wagon in Riverfront Park.
On Friday, SCRAPS will accept donations outside the Spokane Arena from noon until Lambert’s show starts.
“What could be more fitting than having a ‘Fill the Red Wagon’ donation drive in Spokane?” Janet Dixon, the special programs manager of SCRAPS, said in a press release. “How many other cities have a giant red wagon?”
Monetary donations can also be made online at http://www.scrapshopefoundation.org/.
