Northwest League
Spokane 7, Tri-City 1: Hans Crouse struck out 12 over seven innings and the Indians (2-0) handled the visiting Dust Devils (0-2).
Crouse (4-1, 2.45) allowed six hits and did not issue a walk. He threw 92 pitches, 66 for strikes.
Curtis Terry went 2 for 4 with a two-run homer and four RBIs. He leads the NWL with 11 homers and 34 RBIs. Francisco Ventura added a two-run homer, his fourth in eight games.
Eugene 4, Salem-Keizer 1: Jeffrey Passantion (4-0) struck out seven over 4.1 shutout relief innings and the Emeralds (1-1) beat the visiting Volcanoes (1-1). Nelson Velazquez went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Eugene. Fernando Kelli stole two bases to up his NWL lead to 20.
Everett 6, Vancouver 5 (10): Nick Rodriguez delivered a one-out RBI single in the 10th inning and the AquaSox (1-1) edged the visiting Canadians (1-1). Bobby Honeyman went 3 for 4 with a double, triple and two RBIs for Everett. Jheyson Caraballo allowed a run on four hits and two walks over five innings.
Hillsboro 5, Boise 4 (10): L.T. Tolbert singled up the middle to plate two in the 10th and the Hops (1-1) topped the visiting Hawks (1-1). Joey Rose smacked a two-ruin homer for Hillsboro, his fifth of the season.
Texas Rangers affiliates
Round Rock (AAA) 3, Tacoma 2: Andy Ibanez hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning and the Express (50-53) beat the visiting Rainiers (51-52). Christian Lopes added a solo shot in the fifth. Adrian Sampson struck out five over six innings and allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk.
Midland 11, Frisco (AA) 5 (10): Midland scored seven runs in the 10th inning and the visiting RockHounds (44-58) beat the RoughRiders (43-60). Tyler Ramirez went 3 for 6 with a homer and three RBIs and Seth Brown went 2 for 6 with a homer and three RBIs. Cole Wiper (0-2) allowed all seven runs in the 10th on seven hits and a walk.
Lynchburg 3, Down East (High-A) 1: Jodd Carter hit a two run homer and the visiting Hillcats (47-53) beat the Wood Ducks (46-58). Joe Palumbo (0-3) gave up three runs, two earned on five hits and struck out six. Leodys Taveras went 0 for 4 to lower his average to .233.
Hickory (Low-A) 1-7, Greenville 4-1: Sam Huff hit two home runs and drove in five in the nightcap and the visiting Crawdads (49-51) split a doubleheader with the Drive (43-58). Huff went 3 for 3 with a solo homer in the opener.
