Schweitzer Mountain Resort is adding hosted ebike trail tours. Ebikes have a battery, giving riders extra help on uphill sections.

The daily tours start in July departing from Schweitzer’s village at 10 a.m and 2 p.m. The tours will cover a 10- to 12-mile loop over a 2-hour period.

“These bikes will offer a great opportunity for novice mountain bikers to explore some beautiful areas around Schweitzer and learn about the flora and fauna of the region at the same time,” said Dani Demmons, the resort’s activities manager in a news release. “Getting into mountain biking can be intimidating and while riding the ebikes is still challenging, this is a great way to start riding trails.”

The bikes are built by Rad Power Bikes. For more information call (208) 255-3081.
