“The African American Spiritual Tradition: Tell the World” - Presented by the Palouse Choral Society. Songs trace the history of African American spirituals, from African roots to slavery, Civil Rights songs and gospel music. This tradition speaks to universal issues of the human condition—hardship, joy, sorrow and hope. Selections by Moses Hogan, Robert Shaw and Alice Parker, Andre Thomas, Thomas Dorsey, Rollo Dilworth, Keith Hampton, Byron Smith and William Dawson. Friday performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 1410 NE Stadium Way, Pullman. Sunday performance will begin at 4 p.m. at Silverthorne Theatre, 500 Eighth Ave., Lewiston. Northwest BachFest - Through March 11. The 40th annual Northwest Bach Festival features classical music concerts across the region.
