Expect street closures downtown this weekend

Downtown traffic will be a little dicey Saturday, as many streets will be temporarily closed for the annual Junior Lilac Parade.

Construction near the Spokane Convention Center, which is hosting the Dorothy Dean Home Cooking Show on Saturday, won’t make things easier.

The street closures, which begin at 9:30 a.m., include: Spokane Falls Boulevard and Main Avenue between Bernard and Post streets; Washington Street between Riverside and Boone avenues; and Stevens, Howard, Wall and Post streets between Riverside and Spokane Falls Boulevard.
