Women’s soccer: Eastern Washington’s Kelsee Winston named Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week

Eastern Washington goalkeeper Kelsee Winston was named Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer, the conference announced Tuesday.

Winston recorded two shutouts during the week, leading to her second Big Sky honor.

Winston had four saves against Utah State during a 2-0 win on Thursday. She added five saves against South Dakota State during Saturday’s scoreless draw.

Winston and the Eagles (4-3-2) will begin conference play at 3 p.m. Thursday at home against Sacramento State.
