Tres Tinkle declares for 2019 NBA draft

Following a terrific junior season for Oregon State, Missoula product Tres Tinkle has declared for the NBA draft. Oregon State made the announcement on Tuesday that Tinkle would test the waters of becoming an NBA player, however the move is not binding and he has until May 29 to remove his name and return to Oregon State for his senior year of basketball. Tinkle could now participate in the NBA draft combine May 14-19 if he’s invited. Tinkle can also work out for NBA teams now. The two-time Montana Gatorade Player of the Year was a first team all-Pac-12 selection for the second straight year after averaging 20.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game his junior season while helping Oregon State to an 18-13 record on the season. Tinkle currently ranks top 10 in Beavers program history for career scoring and rebounding. He needs just 512 points to surpass Gary Payton as the all time leading scorer in OSU men’s basketball history.
