KENT – Authorities say a hit-and-run suspect was shot and killed by Kent police after a brief pursuit.
KOMO reports that Just after midnight Sunday, Kent police responded to assist Auburn police in pursuing the suspect, who was traveling toward Kent. Police forced him into crashing and authorities say he fired at least once at a Kent officer.
That officer fired back and struck the 38-year-old man, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
None of the officers involved in the incident were hurt. The officer who fired at the suspect was an 8-year veteran and will be placed on the standard administrative leave.
