Spokane’s Terrance McKinney falls in second round of DWCS bout

LAS VEGAS – Spokane’s Terrance McKinney was knocked out in the second round of his bout with Sean Woodson at Dana White’s Contender Series on Tuesday.
McKinney looked the stronger of the two in the first round and was in control for most of the second before Woodson (6-0) caught McKinney with a flying knee as the former Shadle Park star shot for a takedown. McKinney (6-2) fell flat on his back near the cage and referee Mark Smith called the fight.
UFC President Dana White launched the Contender Series as a way to scout up-and-coming talent. Woodson earned a UFC contract with the win.
