Horizon Credit Union has hired Wendie Ellis as director of payment services. Ellis previously was assistant vice president of loan administration at Numerica Credit Union, and has more that 18 years of experience in the industry. She currently serves as president of the Spokane Chapter of the Northwest Credit Union Association.

Health

Inspire Physical and Hand Therapy has hired Beth Kern as an occupational therapist. Kern has worked in outpatient hand-therapy settings in Bellevue and Spokane.

Lisa A. Malpass, 2019 president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Washington State Chapter, was selected by the NAELA Foundation as one of two winners of the 2019 Cohn Sisters’ Scholarship for Patient Advocacy. NAELA is a nonprofit association of attorneys who devote a substantial part of their practice to working with elderly clients and their families and was established to provide resources and assistance to attorneys who deal with such issues.
