Bomb found inside Moscow home, rendered safe

From staff reports

A Spokane bomb squad traveled to Moscow, Idaho, on Wednesday to assist in deactivating a device found inside a home.

The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reported that a worker in the house discovered the device, which was similar to a “big M-80 wrapped in electrical tape with a fuse,” at about 2:30 p.m., according to Moscow Police Chief James Fry.

The worker took the bomb outside onto the lawn, according to the article.

The bomb squad deactivated the device, according to the City of Moscow Facebook page. The FBI also responded, and the investigation is ongoing.

No injuries were reported.
