What’s Hoppin’ This Week: Tap takeovers, first anniversary and OktoBeerFest

Friday

Hop Mountain Taproom and Grill (14017 N. Newport Highway, Suite G, Mead) is bringing in Moscow’s Hunga Dunga Brewing for a tap takeover beginning at 6 p.m. Enjoy special beers on tap and fun throughout the night.

Saturday

Matchwood Brewing Co. (513 Oak St., Sandpoint) is celebrating its first anniversary with a party from noon-9 p.m. There will be special beer releases, live music, a community toast, games and a whole pig roast.

The Viking (1221 N. Stevens St., Spokane) is throwing its annual OktoBeerFest music-and-beer festival starting at 5 p.m. Great local bands are scheduled to perform, and there will be beer specials, an Oktoberfest food menu and games throughout the evening.

Monday

Coeur d’Alene Taphouse Unchained (210 E. Sherman Ave.) is hosting another “Monday Night Football” tap takeover and this time featuring Boise’s Payette Brewing. Go down to enjoy the game, special Payette beers and a chat with a local beer rep. 5 to 8 p.m.
