TEDxSpokane accepting applications for annual speaking event

TEDxSpokane is accepting applications for speakers to participate in its annual event at the Bing Crosby Theater in downtown Spokane.

Prospective speakers can apply to participate in the Oct. 10 event at http://tedxspokane.com.

Prior to the event, TEDxSpokane is holding speaker auditions at 5 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Montvale Event Center. Event attendees will provide feedback on prospective speakers to the TEDxSpokane curation committee. The audition is free and light snacks will be provided.

TED, a nonprofit organization, started as a four-day conference in California more than 26 years ago. The organization promotes idea sharing via 18-minute-long short talks delivered by “today’s leading thinkers and doers.” TEDx events are independently organized by the local community.
