Boys district basketball: Undefeated Liberty tops Colfax in overtime in 2B semifinal
District 7 2B
Liberty 74, Colfax 62 (OT): Jacob Holling scored 29 points and the top-seeded Lancers (22-0) beat the third-seeded Bulldogs (16-7) in overtime in a district semifinal at West Valley HS on Tuesday.
Liberty, ranked No. 1 in Class 2B, plays No. 2 St. George’s in the district title game on Saturday.
Colfax faces Tekoa-Rosalia in a loser-out on Thursday.
Tayshawn Colvin added 19 points for Liberty.
John Lustig led Colfax with 27 points and Hunter Claassen added 13.
St. George’s 61, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 42: Nick Watkins scored 23 points and the top-seeded Dragons (19-3) beat the second-seeded Broncos (16-6) in the other semifinal.
LRS faces Kettle Falls in a loser-out on Thursday.
Drew Kelly led LRS with 12 points.
Tekoa-Rosalia 77, Northwest Christian 61: Garrett Naught scored 24 points, Riley McLain added 21 and the Timberwolves (10-13) eliminated the Crusaders (3-20).
David Maynard led NWC with 35 points.
Kettle Falls 66, Davenport 45: Matthew Thompson scored 23 points and the Bulldogs (14-8) eliminated the Gorillas (8-14).
Cade McKern added 17 points and 10 boards for KF.
AJ Floyd and Gavin Boggs had 12 apiece for Davenport.
