Warmer temperatures will return to the Inland Northwest in time for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

The National Weather Service forecasts high temperatures in the upper 70s or low 80s every day for at least the next week. That compares with a high of just 66 degrees on Wednesday.

“It’s going to be pleasant weather,” said Joey Clevenger, National Weather Service meteorologist.

No rain is in the forecast in the next week. Although the weather service in Spokane measured at least a trace of rain each of the past four days of June, precipitation was below normal during June. The weather service measured 0.88 of an inch of rain in Spokane in June. The normal rainfall in June is 1.25 inches.
