Police look seek suspect who shot elderly woman in leg

Police are seeking information about a Friday incident in which an elderly woman using a walker was shot in the leg.

The woman was shot at about 4 p.m. while crossing Wellesley Avenue between Division and Normandie streets.

Police believe someone in a blue vehicle heading west on Wellesley from Division shot the woman.

The Spokane Police Department said the woman’s slow pace may have upset the shooter.

The woman’s injury was not life threatening, police said.
