Gonzaga’s Filip Petrusev among final five for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar center of year award
Gonzaga’s Filip Petrusev is one of five finalists for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar center of the year award.

Petrusev leads Gonzaga at 17.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. He’s posted nine 20-point scoring games, topped by a career-high 31 versus Santa Clara. He was named WCC player of the year earlier this week.
Other Abdul-Jabbar award finalists: Vernon Carey Jr. (Duke), Luka Garza (Iowa), Udoka Azubuike (Kansas) and Nathan Knight (William & Mary).
Former Zag Przemek Karnowski won the award in 2017.
