Spokane County deputies arrest pantsless man suspected of breaking into three homes

Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 23-year-old pantsless man accused of entering a home south of Spokane and exposing himself on Monday.

Deputies responded to the 5600 block out South Madelia Street at about 9 p.m. to a report of a possible attempted burglary, according to a news release. The victim reported a man had tried to enter their home through a locked door and saw a man walking away.

As a deputies arrived and began looking for the suspect, a second caller on the same street reported finding an unknown man inside his house and pushing him outside, according to a news release. He said he had noticed Silva, naked from the waist down, near a door and picking up his pants as Silva walked toward his teenage daughter. Silva left his shoes at the residence.

Deputies located Silva within minutes in the backyard of a woman who reported him wandering around, apparently high on an unknown substance, and throwing bikes in her garage, according to a news release. Silva told deputies he had been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.

Silva was booked into Spokane County Jail on a residential burglary with sexual motivation and indecent exposures as factors, but he was released after he appeared in court the following day, a news release said.
