Restaurants are available for takeout orders
With the closure of restaurants since Tuesday, businesses have reached out to The Spokesman-Review to be added to our list of establishments offering takeout. Please continue to reach out.
In other food-related news, chefs and restaurants are stepping up even though their businesses are devastated. Many are making donations of prepared food and unused inventory, including Philip Stanton, owner of Park Lodge in Kendall Yards.
Stanton, as of Wednesday, had distributed all his fresh produce to shelters and people in quarantine. He has prepared gallons of chicken soup to deliver to shelters.
Bravo, Stanton and Team Park Lodge, and more restaurants and chefs are doing the same throughout the city.
While there are pros and cons to getting takeout during the coronavirus outbreak, I am taking all the necessary safety precautions at all times and supporting our culinary industry by ordering takeout as often as possible.
The Spokesman-Review is here for our readers … especially now. Go to spokesman.com for a continually updated list of restaurants offering takeout. Scroll to A&E on the homepage, or click on the Arts & Entertainment and COVID-19 pages. And email me at donc@spokesman.com to be added to the list of restaurants. Be safe!
