Clearwater Paper Co. reports third-quarter earnings gain

Spokane-based Clearwater Paper Co. reported a gain in net earnings during the third quarter.

The company reported earnings of $21 million, or $1.28 per share, for the quarter, compared to net earnings of $11 million, or 66 cents per share, in the third quarter of 2019, according to a company statement.

Clearwater Paper attributed the increase in net earnings to elevated demand for tissue products, paperboard and solid operational execution.
