We endorse McGarry
We, the below-listed retired Spokane County Superior Court judges, are please to endorse Tom McGarry for the Washington State House of Representatives, District 6, Position 2.
McGarry has practiced civil law in Spokane for more than 30 years and is a respected attorney who zealously represents his clients. He understands that often the best result for his client is obtained outside the courtroom, but when he does come to court, he is prepared, respectful of all parties, and a consummate professional.
We believe McGarry will serve the people of the 6th District with the same loyalty and professionalism he gives to his clients. He understand the law-making process, which isn’t always perfect. Often, the best-intentioned policy created in Olympia doesn’t sufficiently take into account how that policy will affect citizens.
McGarry’s campaign theme is “serious times call for serious people.” We couldn’t agree more. As we face a state general-fund budget shortfall recently estimated at about $4.4 billion over the next three years, we need legislators who will dispense with political party hyperbole and work to ensure that Eastern Washington doesn’t disproportionately pay the price of the pandemic.
