From a Canadian friend

I received the following commentary from a Canadian friend regarding the oblivion, regarding COVID-19, of many in the USA.

“I find it very discouraging and concerning when I read about responses toCOVID-19. For those of you that have any doubt, let me reassure you it is very real! I spent two months in the hospital fighting for my life. I now have aftereffects from this horrible disease. Many of you think this disease isn’t real. I picked up COVID wintering in AZ. We headed home very quickly as I knew I was getting sick and wanted the Canadian medical system if necessary … and it became very necessary.

“So you can bury your head in the sand or hide behind freedom and your rights; but, along with those rights also comes responsibilities. Please, for your sake and everyone else’s, behave responsibly. You wouldn’t want to end up as sick as I was. I couldn’t breathe and twice they were preparing my family for my death. It is within every one of you to stop the spread of this disease.”
