Concrete residents told to boil drinking water because of presence of E. coli
CONCRETE, Wash. – A drinking water alert for the town of Concrete was issued Wednesday after the town’s water system tested positive Nov. 18 for E. coli bacteria and coliform bacteria.
The state Department of Health told residents not to drink from the water system without boiling the water first.
Possible illnesses from drinking the contaminated water include nausea, cramps, diarrhea, jaundice, headache and fatigue, according to the notice.
According to the state Department of Health website, the department will inspect the system and assist in resolving the issue.
