Maplehurst Apartments

The 1908 Maplehurst Apartments, at Fourth Avenue and Maple Street, were built by one of Spokane's first physicians, Thomas L. Catterson. The doctor paid $5000 for a tract of land that included the now-busy corner and multiple acres of southeast Browne's Addition. The Catterson's historic home still stands at 2025 W. Fourth Ave. Read the story of the Maplehurst and the life of Dr. Catterson.
