Veterans Honor Guard

The volunteers behind the Spokane Area Veterans Honor Guard give hundreds of hours, in five- to seven-minute increments, to honor veterans who have died. It only takes five to seven minutes to perform the ritual of folding the American flag, firing a rifle salute and playing taps. But the dedicated honor guard members show up hundreds of times a year to perform the solemn protocols, many times at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery.
