Idaho food and agriculture exports for the first six months of this year were 15 percent higher than the first six months of 2011, the state Department of Agriculture announced today, and 2011 was a record-setting year. Dairy is the state's top agricultural export, comprising more than 35 percent; it was up 10 percent. Top export markets for Idaho ag products are Canada, Mexico, China, Japan and South Korea, with exports to China and South Korea showing the biggest increases.
