Gov. Butch Otter told a joint session of the Legislature today, “It’s my honor and privilege to report to you today that the state of Idaho is resurgent, and in fact is gaining a national reputation among states for our stability and our strength.”

Otter said the state’s “finances are secure,” revenue is exceeding forecasts, and economic growth is outpacing the growth of government. “More of our people are working than at any time in our history,” Otter said. “And wages are rising – slowly but surely – along with employer demand for more skilled workers.”
