Huckleberries Online

HBO — to Sue & Any Mouse re: Banned Topics

Sue: "One of my favorite Mark Twainism's:
'Christ were here now there is one thing he would not be – a Christian.' Oh, that's right, this is out of play."

Any Mouse: "There is a lack of diversity here. Why? Because the host has decided to avoid topics that create heated debate."

DFO: You two are kidding, right? Did you read yesterday's threads? We had global warming, a first-edition, controversial Muslim cartoon, the local supermarket mag controversy (with SI cover) -- and that was all before noon. In the comments section, I was trying to hold off Bearable Bob with one hand and guide a debate about Idaho's marriage amendment with the other. Very few things are off limits here. Passionate debate is welcomed. But incivility is not.
