Sam: I’m Looking Forward To Meeting Taggart

Sam The Intern: I love the journalistically minded people here re: Taggart questions. It's great! I smile every time I see some watchdog bloggers on here haha. I've never actually met Taggart but my mom did at work once (at NIC). I guess they got into a discussion about me being a journalist and Taggart gave my mother a biz card, which I had in my wallet for a couple months before I had to clean out all the dang business cards I had that I never used. But there's a good chance I'll be calling her at Panhandle Health, because I've used Susan for two stories now this summer. She was VERY helpful.

DFO: I worked with Tags for -- what? -- 20 years? She knows the community. And is tuned in well on health issues. She should do a dyne-oh!-mite job at the health district. It's a hand-in-glove fit. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the PR biz she was developing with former CDA Press editor Ric Clarke. I see a conflict between her new duties and the county ones. After all, the district depends on county appropriations for some of its funding. My guess? Tags will drop the PR affiliation and concentrate on her new job. I wish her the best.
