Idaho Sen. Larry Craig’s lead criminal attorney, Billy Martin, just told reporters in Minnesota, “Sen. Larry Craig denies that he went into that restroom for anything other than to go to the restroom.” Martin said he’s “hopeful” that a Minnesota judge will go along with his arguments that what Craig did in a Minneapolis airport bathroom wasn’t a crime, even though an undercover police officer said it was consistent with actions soliciting sex. “He had no purpose other than to go to the bathroom,” Martin said/Betsy Russell, Eye On Boise.
