CindyH: I know I'm way too late for that Pet Peeve thread but here's mine: remote keys that cause car horns to honk. I was at Costco unloading my groceries when the car next to me honked twice. I hit my head on the trunk door and almost dropped my eggs. It was a huge SUV thingie so the hood was right about my ear level. Or worse, when you're walking through a parking lot and you hear a horn and jump out of the way because you think the car is honking at you. But it's just someone unlocking their car.

Question: Nothing annoys me worse than security horns that honk & honk when they're accidentally triggered. It happens so much that I don't pay attention. Someone could be breaking into a car for all I know. Do you share the same peeve?
