Johnson Defends Drag Statement

Item: Human rights leader defends gay remarks/Maureen Dolan, CdA Press

More Info: Ruthie Johnson says she isn't anti-gay, and she doesn't think it's right for employers to discriminate against workers based on sexual orientation. The 85-year-old Hayden Lake resident's reappointment to the Idaho Commission on Human Rights was opposed Thursday by seven Senate Democrats. Favored by 28 Republicans, she was reconfirmed after an hourlong debate. Johnson contends that comments she made during her April 3 confirmation hearing were taken out of context.

Question: Are you satisfied with Ruthie Johnson's explanation?
