Deputies from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office gather outside the the house at 4518 Woodglen to investigate a homicide this morning north of Mead in a development of upscale homes on the south side of Day-Mount Spokane Road. Story here. (Dan Pelle/SR)
Question: Have you ever been nearby when a murder took place (not that I’m accusing you of anything)?
zelda on December 02 at 4:26 p.m.
Yes, I have. Cop cars, sirens, squealing tires, chaos. I had just moved in and all hell broke loose.
Detour: I know it’s all relative, but are houses worth $225K really “upscale”?
And, per my first sentence, have you ever noticed how just about every Spokane neighborhood with a violent crime scene is described by its residents as “a quiet neighborhood”? Crappy neighborhoods aren’t described at all. West Central pretty much tells you all you need to know.
U-turn: This is a tragedy and a complicated one at that. Condolences to the family. -30-

Holy crap, I used to live just down the street, about a half a block away, thought I recognized the old neighborhood in the pic. What a hideous tragedy. I don’t remember these folks, but then, it was quite awhile ago.
Condolences to the family and loved ones.
