Timberline High knocked of Lake City 1-0 in the semi-final game of the girls’ 5A state softball tournament to earn a spot in the championship game tomorrow at noon. Meanwhile, Lake City will face Coeur d’Alene High at 10 o’clock Saturday in the final loser-out game, with the winner moving on to face Timberline for the title and the loser finishing third. Coeur d’Alene kept alive by knocking off Twin Falls 5-0 behind the one-hit pitching of Amber Coburn, who tossed a no-hitter and two one-hitters Friday to lead the Vikings. The area around the Ramsey softball fields was exciting today, I wish I could have stopped to watch a bit of the action. I think Lake City wins it all, we’ll see.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the update and great photos! Glad to see the two Cda teams doing so well in the 5A state tourney. It is sensational to have North Idaho be known for softball skills, top notch facilities and great fans! Good luck Viks and Timberwolves! Hoo-Yah!!!
